Beijing owns many venues with complete facilities and equipment that meet the requirements for world class international sport events. Accordingly, the SportAccord World Combat Games are hosted in venues that provide ideal conditions for the thirteen participating sports. All competition venues were build or renovated for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and staged Olympic competitions.
In order to facilitate the flow of the events, all training and competitions venues are within less than 5 km of the athletes’ hotels as well as in short distance to the airport.
The Opening Ceremony takes place in the National Indoor Stadium, allowing thousands of spectators to follow the inauguration festivities of the first World Combat Games.
